As part of Truro City Council’s ongoing commitment to improving connectivity and providing a safe, accessible, and well-connected city, on Monday 5th January 2026, Truro City Council’s Parks Department will be carrying out essential maintenance on the footbridge at Beechwood Parc. This work is anticipated to take around three days to complete.
We recognise that this is a popular school route to Tregolls Academy, so we have scheduled the work to be undertaken outside of school hours. The team will ensure the bridge is safe for pedestrians to use before and after school hours.
The maintenance will involve replacing the decking and installing new railings.
If you need to cross from Beechwood Parc to Chellew Road during the repair work, a diversion route will be in place. Please see below for the Beechwood Parc alternative route.
The What3Words location of the bridge is: quiet.case.pulse
Thank you for your patience and understanding during this time.
