Running from Monday 28th July to Friday 29th August, Truro City Council’s Our Great Little Kids Club brings free weekday summer fun for primary school-aged children, delivered in partnership with Visit Truro, Cornwall Museum & Art Gallery, and Hall for Cornwall.
Each weekday afternoon from 2pm – 3pm, families can enjoy a fun schedule of creative, educational, and interactive sessions, alongside the popular Denzel Trail. Most activities will take place in the Bandstand at Victoria Gardens, with Tuesday sessions held at Cornwall Museum & Art Gallery (River Street).
The programme of weekly activities includes:
- Mondays – Jules The Ventriloquist will bring her friends for build a puppet activities, interactive magic, and many new surprises.
- Tuesdays – Cornwall Museum & Art Gallery will host themed sessions on their summer exhibition, I Grew Up 80s! (Note: this session will be held in the Learning Room at the museum on River Street.)
- Wednesdays – Story time & crafts with Truro Community Library.
- Thursdays – Hall for Cornwall, Join in with Aladdin-themed dancing, exciting games, well-loved children’s stories, and delightful crafting activities.
- Fridays – Truro’s Countryside Rangers will help you discover the wildlife in Truro’s Wild Spaces.
And that’s not all! Don’t miss the “Six Days of Summer Giveaways” over on Visit Truro’s Instagram page (@visittruro) from Monday 21st to Saturday 26th July, where you could win prizes kindly donated by local businesses. Winners will be announced on Monday 28th July, just in time for the launch of Our Great Little Kids Club.
Don’t forget to collect your free activity pack. This includes details of the much-loved Denzel the Hedgehog Town Trail, fun interactive activities, and much more.
These free packs will be available from Truro Community Library and the Visit Truro Visitor Information Centre (Boscawen Street). Children can collect stickers throughout the programme and earn an “I Love Denzel” sticker by completing the trail and entering a prize draw.
