Part funded by Truro City Council Steve Lennon an anti-social behaviour officer that works in the community.
Street Pastors
Work throughout the city regularly on evenings to assist where they can, using contributions from the Council.
Business Improvement District
The Truro and Newham BIDs represent the business of Truro and make a levy on them to enact their manifestos following a referendum. The Truro BID runs the annual classic car show and organises Christmas lights as well as operates the Town Centre Ranger team. Find out more or contact them see their website. CCTV
Truro City Council operates a number of CCTV cameras around the city to support public safety and policing.
Twinning
Truro is twinned with Morlaix in France and Boppard in Germany. Each association runs events and visits to further the community connection.
Friends Groups
There are a number of friends groups made up of volunteers supported by Truro City Council who look after areas of open space.
John Cooper Furniss Charity
Distributes small grants each winter to help Truro residents with the cost of their heating.

A charity that makes contributions to young people’s education, the Council is one of many trustees.

A charity that may make a donation to local organisations in need of funds.
