Truro City Council’s Community Development Department works with residents across Truro to build on the strengths already present within their communities. The team collaborates with local people to develop and deliver new and support existing projects and groups that have a positive impact on both neighbourhoods and individual wellbeing.
The department’s work is primarily focused on residential areas throughout the city. Truro City Council recognises that effective community development creates stronger, more connected communities, which in turn contribute to safer neighbourhoods and improved wellbeing for residents.
The Community Development Department also directly manages and supports projects for young people, as well as older and more vulnerable residents, helping to enhance health and wellbeing across the city.
