On Monday 16th June, the Mayor of Truro, Cllr Chris Wells, accepted a cheque from the Rotary Club of Truro Boscawen on behalf of the former Mayor, Cllr Carol Swain.
The funds, amounting to £2,000, were raised during the annual Mayor of Truro’s Charity Golf Day event on the 16th May 2025, organised by Rotary Club of Truro Boscawen at Truro Golf Club. The proceeds will be evenly divided between the former Mayor’s two chosen charities, Truro Foodbank and St Petrocs.
Mayor of Truro Cllr Wells stated that, “Truro City Council welcomes the continued support of the Rotary Club of Truro Boscawen and I am very happy to receive the cheque on behalf of the previous Mayor Cllr Swain. I know the charities will put the funding to good use and I thank all involved for their charitable efforts for the community of Truro.”
Members of the club attended the presentation, along with the President of the Rotary Club Truro Boscawen, who presented Mayor Chris Wells with the cheque.
