Boscawen Park is one of Truro’s most valued parks, providing open green spaces, sports facilities and opportunities for people of all ages to enjoy recreation, physical activity and community life.

Owned and managed by Truro City Council, the park has long been an important destination for residents, sports clubs, families and visitors. Located alongside the Truro River and within easy reach of the city centre, it offers a unique combination of recreation, wellbeing, sport and accessible outdoor spaces.

In September  2026, the park enters an exciting new chapter with the opening of Boscawen Park Pavilion. This modern, fully accessible community facility will complement the park’s existing attractions by providing flexible indoor spaces for meetings, sport, wellbeing activities, celebrations, community groups, businesses and venue hire.

Whether you’re visiting to enjoy a riverside walk, spend time with family, play sport, attend an event or hire a community space, Boscawen Park & Pavilion provides facilities for residents and visitors throughout the year.

Boscawen Park offers a variety of outdoor spaces for recreation, relaxation and family activities.

Riverside Walks

Accessible riverside paths provide opportunities for walking, exercise and enjoying the natural surroundings throughout the year.

Duck Pond

One of the park’s best-loved features, the duck pond remains a favourite with families and visitors of all ages.

Open Green Spaces

Extensive lawns provide space for picnics, informal recreation and relaxation.

Children’s Play Area

A well-equipped play area offers a safe and enjoyable space for children to play throughout the year.

Boscawen Park supports active lifestyles through a wide range of outdoor sports and recreational facilities.

Boscawen Park provides spaces for community events, wellbeing activities and outdoor recreation throughout the year.

The Performance Area is available to hire for community events, performances and organised activities.

Located within Boscawen Park, Café in the Park provides refreshments for visitors throughout the year.

The café also offers catering for Pavilion events, while the Pavilion’s fully equipped catering kitchen can be used by external caterers.

  • The first four hours of parking are free (a ticket must still be obtained from the pay and display machine)

  • Is catering available?
    Yes. External caterers can use the Pavilion’s catering kitchen, or catering can be provided by Café in the Park.
  • Is there parking?
    Yes. Two pay and display car parks are available. The first four hours are free, but visitors must obtain and display a ticket.
  • Is the park accessible?
    Yes. Accessible parking, step-free routes, accessible pathways and accessible Pavilion facilities are provided.
  • How has the Pavilion project been funded?
    The Pavilion and wider park improvements have been funded through the Truro Town Deal, Cornwall Council and Truro City Council.
