Truro City Council’s popular Bandstand Concert series will return to Victoria Gardens next month, starting on Sunday 3rd May 2026.

This much-loved annual programme will run throughout the summer, with performances taking place every Sunday until 27th September. The programme will showcase a diverse range of local talent, including male voice choirs, saxophone quartets, and traditional silver bands – offering something for audiences of all ages.

Concerts will take place from 2:30pm to 4:00pm and are free to attend, with no booking required. Residents and visitors alike are invited to relax and enjoy live music in the peaceful surroundings of Victoria Gardens.

The Mayor of Truro, Councillor Chris Wells, said: “I am delighted the City Council is able to offer this series of Bandstand Concerts once again. I know that Truro’s residents and visitors to the city greatly value the opportunity to enjoy a relaxing Sunday afternoon in our beautiful Victoria Gardens listening to our talented local musicians.”

The 2026 season will kick off with an energetic performance from the 4Thought Sax Quartet, whose high-spirited style promises a vibrant start to the series.

Pollen café, located adjacent to the Bandstand at Victoria Gardens, will be open daily throughout the season, offering a range of refreshments and treats for attendees to purchase. Visitors are encouraged to bring their own chairs or picnic blankets for comfortable seating.

Please note that the concerts are weather dependent. In the event of poor weather, Victoria Gardens and Pollen may close, and performances may be cancelled. Follow @Truro City Council and @Visit Truro on Facebook for updates.
