Sarah grew up in St Agnes and has lived in Truro since 1992. Her career was in Housing having worked in various roles in Colchester, Essex before moving to Carrick District Council as a Housing Advice Officer. Latterly she helped to deliver new affordable homes and managed a project to ensure private discounted sale homes went to local people in housing need. Since leaving Cornwall Council in 2019 Sarah has used her housing experience volunteering as a trustee for Truro Municipal Charities. Sarah has a longstanding interest in the low carbon agenda, in particular sustainable transport. She is cofounder and convener of Truro Cycling Campaign and until its closure in 2023 worked and volunteered for Co Cars car sharing club. She is also a member of Transition Truro. Sarah was elected to Truro City Council in June 2023.
