Following 7 weeks of work, the team from Inscapes have finished the pitch improvement works at Boscawen Park and moved off site. These works have included installing new drainage pipes as well as levelling the playing surfaces and reseeding.
The phase of the scheme has been funded by Truro Town Deal, Truro City Council, and Cornwall Council as part of the wider improvement plan for Boscawen Park.
As previously explained, the grass areas of the park will remain closed to the public whilst the new grass seed becomes established. They are currently due to re-open in Spring 2026.
Truro City Council would like to thank users of the park and local residents for their patience and understanding during this period of work. The improved playing surface will increase the usability of the park for the future.
During the next few months, Truro City Council’s maintenance team will be carrying out further works to relay the surface of the riverside walk and install new fencing between the playing area and the riverside walk.
More information will be provided once the dates for the work have been confirmed.
