Yesterday was a great day as we welcomed judges Nigel Bloxham and Richard Beale to the city for this year’s South West in Bloom competition.
Truro certainly showed itself at its very best, with wonderful floral displays and incredible examples of environmental initiatives and community involvement.
Huge thanks and congratulations to the Truro in Bloom Committee, Richard Budge and the City Council’s Parks Department staff and Biffa Waste for their work in keeping our streets clean all year round.
Thanks also to Truro BID for providing funding to support the floral displays across the city, the community groups who are working so hard to improve their local environments and our wonderful primary schools who take part in the competitions run by the Truro in Bloom committee.
Everyone involved should be very proud of their achievements.
The city is now preparing for the big one! Judges from the Britain in Bloom competition will be coming to Truro in a few weeks time and we are all keeping our fingers crossed for another great visit.
