Have your say on Truro’s community facilities

Salt Projects Ltd, on behalf of Truro City Council, is carrying out surveys to identify the current and desired provision of community facilities in Truro.

These surveys will help us to understand any gaps in the community facilities that are currently provided, and will help us to deliver future facilities that residents feel are needed.

Mayor of Truro, Cllr Steven Webb, said: “In the past two years, the word ‘community’ has been more important than ever. Meeting, working and supporting each other together is important.

“I am pleased to be continuing my Mayoral role for another year and as I approach my second year, I would like to hear from you, Truro’s community, residents, groups and businesses. How can we improve our current community provision? This could be through sharing resources, collaborating, improving facilities or venues. Looking into the future where there is hope, let’s explore big and small changes. What is in place now, and where are the gaps? Are there any groups who are not currently being served?”

There are two surveys: one for residents, and one for community groups. They can be accessed at the following links:

It should take no longer than ten minutes to complete. If you cannot access the survey, please email charlotte@saltprojects.co.uk to request an email version or a bookable phone call slot. Equally, you can submit comments via email, with the subject ‘Truro Community Resident Feedback’.

Please submit your feedback no later than Friday 18th March.

There will also be a family engagement event on Sunday 20th March, where residents can join conversations about Truro’s community provisions, as well as join in with a free family activity.

The session will be held at the Pydar Pop-Up on St Clements Street between 11.00 and 16.00.

There will be another opportunity for residents to give their feedback at a drop-in session on Wednesday 23rd March at Truro Farmers Market.

Pop along to the market on Lemon Quay between 10.00 and 15.00 to share your thoughts.

We look forward to hearing your views.
