Bolitho, who was joined at the front by the Rt Rev Philip Mounstephen, Bishop
of Truro, Interim Dean Simon Robinson, and the Mayor of Truro, together with
representatives of the Royal British Legion Cornwall and Truro branches .
Other taking part in the event included veterans, scouts, standard
bearers and members of the Old Cornwall Societies.
“It
was a truly amazing gathering “ said Steven Webb. “A very big thank you to the Lieutenancy
Office, Cornwall Council and Visit Truro, and, of course, to staff from Truro
City Council who all worked together to ensure that everything ran smoothly”.
“It
was fantastic to see so many dignitaries and representations of local organisations
and groups involved. It was a privilege to be part of such an incredible
experience, particularly as this was my final civic event as Mayor of our great
city”.
