Truro Mayor joins Safer Cornwall partners for Anti Social Behaviour and Alcohol Awareness Week activities at Lemon Quay

Truro Mayor Carol Swain and Mayoress Sarah Douglas-Martin were at Lemon Quay last week to support #ASBawarenessweek and #AlcoholAwarenessWeek .

The Mayor and Mayoress joined Truro’s Anti Social Behaviour Officer Truro, Perranporth and Tregony Police the Drug and Alcohol Action Team and other Safer Cornwall partners who were at Truro Farmers Market on Wednesday to help raise awareness of the work of done by partners to tackle the problem use of drugs and alcohol and anti social behaviour and provide specialist help and support.

Safer Cornwall is a partnership of public, voluntary, community and private organisations who come together to do all that they can to make Cornwall’s communities safer.  These include Cornwall Council, Devon and Cornwall Police, Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service, National Probation Service, Dorset, Devon and Cornwall Community Rehabilitation Company and NHS Kernow.

The Safer Cornwall partnership has a responsibility to work together to help reduce crime and disorder, anti-social behaviour, problem use of drugs and alcohol and re-offending.
