Truro Mayor Carol Swain joined representatives of up to 20 Truro businesses for a Shopwatch meeting this week.
Hosted by Truro BID, the meetings provide an opportunity for local businesses to share city centre crime related topics, local knowledge and issues.
Also joining the Mayor at this week’s meeting were representatives from the police, Truro’s Anti Social Behaviour Officer and Truro BID Manager Alun Jones.
Topics discussed included the importance of reporting any incidents direct to the police. Officers also gave an informative overview of the increased workload faced by the force today and the difficult decisions they have to make to prioritise resources.
Speaking after the meeting the Mayor welcomed the opportunity to hear from individual businesses, and promised to champion their concerns with other partners involved with the Truro Safe Partnership.
