Children’s Day is returning to Truro on Saturday, 6 July

The Truro Business Improvement District have worked hard to ensure that Children’s Day will be returning to Truro City Centre on Saturday 6 July and that the event will offer a wide range of entertainment and activities.

Activities, most of which are free of charge, include spectacular mountain bike stunt shows and family fun in Lemon Quay, together with a free scooter, balance and pedal bike obstacle course for children and exciting static cycle activity for young people to improve their off-road skills organised by Sustrans.

There will also be circus skills sessions, dance performances, inflatables and swing boat rides, family friendly crazy golf, together with street entertainment popping up across the city, including circus performers and live music.

Lemon Quay will also host a selection of market stalls featuring art and craft activities, and games as well as the Royal Cornwall Museum ‘Rocks Rock’ stall.

This year, Children’s Day and the Truro Farmers Market will be sharing the event space on Lemon Quay. Residents and visitors will therefore be able to find a slightly smaller Truro Farmers Market at the top end of the Quay outside Hall for Cornwall.

Stalls open from 9am, with activities such as with circus skills and mountain bike stunt shows starting from 10am.

Children’s Day is led by the Truro BID and sponsored by Coodes Solicitors. Truro City Council is pleased to support their efforts as it encourages people to visit our Great Little City.  For full event details see www.visittruro.org.uk and Facebook @visittruro.
